Since launching her coaching/consulting practice in 2007, Sheena has worked with numerous legal employers providing coaching, transition counseling and consulting services. Sheena is also a regular presenter at several Canadian law schools, the Queen’s School of Business and the Rotman School of Management.
Sheena was called to the Ontario bar in 1988 and joined McCarthy Tetrault LLP where she practiced as an associate and partner in the litigation group. In 2001 she assumed responsibility for the firm’s student program and from 2002 to 2007 was the firm’s first Director, Professional Resources.
Sheena has coached hundreds of lawyers from the beginning of their careers through to partnership. She has extensive expertise and experience in the professional development and performance management of lawyers. She has also developed numerous workshops for lawyers on topics such as effective communications, mentoring, networking, interview skills, business etiquette, path to partnership, flex-time and new partner orientation.
Sheena is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the International Coach Federation. She is trained by the Adler School of Professional Coaching and is certified in Team Coaching and DISC assessment.
